Lesson 41
1. Put a tap on his most frequent call numbers. 監聽他最常通話的號碼

(break in 闖入)

Lesson 42

1. I have a job to go. 我有事要辦 (情境: 有要事需停止談話並離開)

2. I’ll lose my spot. Can I cut in front? 我會沒位子，可以插到前面嗎？

(spot 地點；cut in 插隊)

3. What’s the hold up? 堵在這裡是怎回事？  (情境: 塞車中)

(hold up 阻礙、耽擱)

4. It won’t buy you the time of day here. 它在這裡派不上用場

(buy you the time 讓你獲得更多時間或機會)

5. The pressure got to him. 壓力讓他崩潰

(get to someone 使某人感受困擾)

Lesson 43

1. He’ll be really ticked off. 他會氣死

(tick off: 俚語，令人生氣)

2. One question at a time. 有話慢慢說

(at a time 一次做一件事)

3. A boy comes into a man. 由男孩轉成男人

(come into 變成)

4. They use their head. 他們真不是蓋的 (他們會用腦)

5. Eureka! 有了/找到了/想通了！

(源於掏金期，一個叫 Archimedes 的人發現了測量合金量的方法，於是大叫 Eureka! )

Lesson 45

2. Your mind has been wandering around. 你心神恍惚

(wander around 四處漫遊/徘徊/流浪)

(beer belly 啤酒肚)

4. My hair is falling out. 我在掉髮

(fall 掉落)

5. He’s prone to domestic violence. 他有家庭暴力傾向

( is prone to 傾向於…..；domestic 家庭的/國內的；violence 暴力)

Lesson 46

1. Get on your hands and knees and scrub. 跪在地上刷

(knee 膝蓋；get on your knees 跪在地上；scrub 刷)

2. Very primitive thinking! 非常原創的想法！

( primitive 最初的/原始的)

3. Is it that time of the month? 月經來了嗎？

(that time of the month 每月的那個期間)

4. He has formed some strong opinions about …..       他對….有強烈的意見

(form 形成；opinion 觀念)

(shudder 發抖)

Lesson 47

(spent 花費、度過；waking hours 醒著的時間)

4. Don’t get higher. 別裝清高了 (high 高尚的)

5. I’m gonna cash in. 我要發財了 (cash in 現金入袋、現金流入)

Lesson 48

1. Three eyes are better than one. 三個臭皮匠勝過一個諸葛亮

2. More is to come. 還會有更多接著來

3. What’s in this for me (What can I get out of this)? 我能得到什麼好處？

4. Your business has become a public domain. 你的事已成公眾大事

(public 大眾；domain 領域)

5. Often imitated, never duplicated. 雖被抄襲，但學不像

(imitate 模仿；duplicate 複製)

Lesson 49

1. My watch loses a little. 我的錶稍慢了些  (lose 鐘錶走慢)

2. I’ve seen it all. 我閱人無數/見多識廣

3. It was a blast. 好玩極了  (blast 狂歡)

4. That’s news to me. 我頭一次聽說  ( news 新聞)

Lesson 50

(squad 警察小隊)

3. Those are the breaks. (那些都是機會，沒好好把握) 真可惜啊！

(break: 口語用，表機會、好運)

4. Be original! 自創、不要學人！(original 原本的)

5. What a catastrophe! 真戲劇化啊！
